Robert Bruce McIntosh was born on 22 February 1922 to Andrew J. and Molly McIntosh.
He died of wounds on 23 February 1945 received in battle for Iwo Jima. His brother Christopher C. McIntosh was killed on 8 June 1944 at Normandy, France.
