Woodrow Wilson Sharp was born in Winfield, Tennessee, the son of Calvin Archer Sharp and Marion Chitwood. He was married to Walen Loudin.
He was promoted to Corporal in Italy while serving with the 85th “Custer” Division, 5th Army. He Died of wounds in Italy.
He was initially buried at Pietramala Cemetery at Mount Beni, Italy and reburied at Florence American Cemetery, Via Cassia, Italy, D, 10, 24

Pfc. Woodrow W. Sharp, husband of the former Miss Walen Louden of Winfield, and son of Calvin A. Sharp and Mrs. Chitwood Sharp Byrd, was killed in Italy Jan. 20, the War Department has informed relatives. In addition to his wife, and parents, Private Sharp is also survived by two children.
