Woodrow Wilson Adams was born in Sevierville, Tennessee, the son of Jonas Daniel C. Adams and Mary Elizabeth Walker. He married Mazy Ramsey in 1936 and they had 5 children together; Mary Alice, Bonnie Kate, Wilburn, Annett and Charlie. Woodrow enlisted on 17 November 1943 at Fort Oglethorpe in Georgia. He was killed in action in Germany.
He is buried at Hurst Chapel Cemetery, Walden Creek, Sevier, TN
