Died/MIA:  24 Oct 1944 while onboard Japanese Freighter Arisan Maru that was sunk by USN submarine USS Shark II (SS 314).  Over 1800 POWs aboard, only nine (9) survived.
He is memorialized on the Tablets of the Missing at Manila American Cemetery, Fort Bonifacio, Manila, Philippines.
