Funeral services for Pvt. Willie Luther Stubbs, 33, of Flora, who died from a heart attack Saturday night, will be held from the Flora Baptist Church. He will be buried with full military honors by enlisted men from Flora Ordnance Plant. Interment will be in Flora Cemetery.
Private Stubbs, native of Hinds County, had been in service, since the early part of the year. For the past several months he had been stationed at Fort McClellan, Ala., and at the time of his death was home on a transfer furlough. Besides his wife he is survived by one son, Thomas Elon; a daughter, Anne Stubbs; eight brothers, Robert Stubbs, U.S.A. in France; Genis Stubbs, U.S.N., R.I.; Clfiton Stubbs, U.S.N., South Pacific; Arthur and Percy Stubbs of Learned and Ben Stubbs of Utica; two sisters, Mrs. F.M. Boys of Learned; Mrs. Jim Morrison of San Diego, Calif. And his father, Elon Stubbs of Etica.
