Pfc. Willie L. Clark has been killed in action on Cebu in the South Pacific, the secretary of war has notified his sister, Mrs. Lillian C. Boling of Bristol, Tenn., RFD 4. The message stated that Pfc. Clark’s death occurred June 4. Pfc. Clark entered the army December 2, 1942 and had been overseas for 26 months. He was wounded in action a year ago and the Purple Heart was sent to his sister. In addition to the Purple Heart he wore the Combat Medal and Infantryman Badge. He was the son of John Clark of Bristol, Va.
