Private First Class Willie Jay Fagain was a member of the 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea.

Pfc. Willie J. Fagain, killed in action in Korea last Sept. 4, will be buried with full military honors in National Cemetery next Sunday afternoon. This will be preceded by services at the Friendship Churchh on Grove Street. The soldier was theson of Eugene Fagain and Mrs. Rosetta Fagain. Other survivors are three brothers, Clarence, serving in the navy; Alex and John Fagain; two sisters, Misses Katie and Donnie Fagain. American Legion Post 171, on whose basketball team he formerly played, will furnish the military escort. Pfc. Fagain attended Booker T. Washington High School and was an employe of the Hollister Tourist Home. He was a member of the Eldorada Club.
