Pfc. Willie C. Long, 22, of Indian Springs, has been reported missing in action, a War Department telegram has advised his father, E.L. Long, of Indian Springs. Private first class Long has been missing since June 13, in Italy. An infantryman, he has been in service since December 7, 1942, and has been overseas since December, 1943. Before entering the Army, he was employed by the Holston Ordnance Works. His mother, a brother, E.L. Long, Jr., and two sisters, Mrs. W.T. Strickler and Miss Eva Long, reside in Bristol. In addition, he has three other brothers, Ross Long of Church Hill, Clarence Long of Indian Springs and E.H. Long of Surgoinsville.
