James Bright Williams was born 20 April 1918 in Greeneville, Tennessee. He was the son of Oscar Lee Williams and Mary Ethel Parker. Pvt. Williams served with Company E, 7th Infantry and was killed in action in Italy on November 4, 1943.
He is buried at Liberty Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery in Greene County, Tenn.

Pvt. James B. Williams was killed in Italy on November 4, 1943. He had been in the service for a year, but had been overseas only four weeks, when he was killed by enemy action in one of the Italian campaigns. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. O.L. Williams of Limestone, Rt. 3. Besides his parents he is survived by one brother, J.W. Williams and a sister, Edna. Pvt. Williams was engaged in farming before entering the service. He attended Liberty Hill and Jearoldstown school.
