Pfc. William R. Young, age 20, of Route 1, Walland, was killed in action, Aug. 20, 1945 in the Southwest Pacific. The body will arrive in Knoxville. Survivors; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Young; six sisters, Mrs. Roy Teffeteller, Mrs. Rufus Herron, Mrs. Wesley Cole, Mrs. James Sizemore, Mrs. Dexter Ogle, Mrs. William Cole; one brother, Charlie.
