William Paul Jolley was born on 10 November 1915, the son of Wilbur Jolley and Belle McCullough.

He enlisted for service in December, 1942 and sailed for England May 14, 1943. He was with the First Division when the army fought through Sicily. He was killed in action on 6 June 1944 on D-Day on the Normandy beach in France.
