Walter Davis was born 29 March 1916 in Oliver Springs, Tennessee. He was the son of Early Lindsey Davis and Annie Ray Cheek. He was married to Mary Lorena Magee.
Staff Sergeant Davis served with the 3rd Armored Division and was killed in action 28 February 1945 in Germany
