Mr. Culberson, who is 23 years old was to be inducted into the army on July 28. However, at that time he was completing his college work at the first term of the U.C. summer session. In consideration of his approaching graduation the draft board deferred Culberson until the Aug. 15 call. Yesterday, after six days of army life, Culberson was given a pass from Fort Oglethorpe to come here to receive his diploma. Dr. Archie M. Palmer hastened to call Dean Maxwell A.
