Pfc. S.N. Waters, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Newman Waters of Old Fort, was killed in action March 23 in Germany, where he was serving with a field artillery unit, the War Department has notified his parents. He had been overseas nine months. A student prior to entering the army two years ago, Pfc. Waters is survived by his parents and one brother, Jerry Waters, 1413 East 17th Street, Chattanooga. He had seen action in France, Belgium and Germany.
