Colonel Sam Love Ellis died at his home, 100 Washington Blvd., Big Spring in Texas of a heart attack. Colonel Ellis was assigned to the bombardier school in Big Spring in June 1942 as project office and became Commander when the school was activated in September.
Survivors include his wife and one son, Thomas N. Ellis.
