Robert Yuel Wheeler was born 19 October 1925 to Charles Andrew Wheeler and Josephine Irene Wyrick.
Pfc Wheeler landed in France December 1. He had been awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge and Bronze Star for outstanding service in combat with the enemy. PFC Wheeler was killed in action 16 March 1945 near Saarbrucken, Germany. He is buried at White Pine Cemetery, Jefferson County, Tennessee.
