Robert Tadlock Wallace Jr. was the son of Robert Tadlock Wallace Sr. and Carrie Harlan. His mother died in 1930 after which his father remarried with Eula Alice Womack. He had one brother, Albert Harlan Wallace.
He was Killed in Action and was initially buried at La Cambe Cemetery at Isigny, France and reburied at the Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France, G, 26, 17

Master Sgt. Robert Tadlock Wallace Jr., was killed in France on July 25, his father, Robert T. Wallace, has been notified by the War Department. Sgt. Wallace left Bristol four years ago with the local national guard unit and two years later was transferred to another infantry division. He had been overseas since last January. Sgt. Wallace was the older of two sons of Mr. Wallace and the late Carrier Harlan Wallace, and a grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. K. Albert Wallace. His wife is the former Luckle Proffitt of Watauga, Tenn., and she and their 16 months old daughter, Elizabeth Ann, have been with her parents during the absence. Sgt. Wallace has a brother, Albert H. Wallace, who recently came from Presbyterian College at Clinton, S.C. to be with his parents at their home on 620 Cherry St. while he is waiting induction into the armed forces.
