Richard Carl Davidson was the son of Bradley K. Davidson and Sally Ann Davis. He entered the service in March, 1950, and left for overseas in July of the same year.

Corporal Davidson was a member of Company I, 3rd Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. He was listed as missing in action while fighting the enemy in North Korea. He was presumed dead on December 31, 1953. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. His memorial stone in Oak Hill Cemetery, Kingsport, TN (section D) has his DOB as December 26, 1930 and his death date as 1951, the year he went MIA.
