Cpl. Ray T. Collins, 21, Lake City, died in France, Sept. 1, his parents Mr. and Mrs. W.T. Collins, have been notified. The father said details of the death have not been relayed to the family. “We received a letter from Ray which had been written Aug. 26, saying he was well,” the father said. Before entering the Army 20 months ago, Cpl. Collins was employed at ALCOA. He is a graduate of Lake City High School.
