Ralph William Burgess was born in North Carolina, the son of Edward Dalton Burgess and Mamie England.He married Theresa Regina Kasperowitz on 30 March 1940 in Virginia. At the time of his death his wife resided at 364 Common Street in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
MSgt Burgess drowned near Samoan Island.
