Phillip Earl Ireland was the son of Herbert Ellsworth Ireland and Bessie Covey. He was married to Bernice Mills and had a daughter Mary Ann. He was a 1962 graduate of Easton High School and enlisted in the US Army on December 15, 1962. He was killed when his tank was destroyed by enemy fire.
