Burial in Highland South Cemetery. Paul Edward Maples, age 20, Hendron Chapel Road, was killed in action in Mekong, South Vietnam, April 6, 1969. He graduated from Young High School in 1967. He was employed by Kroger Company, Chapman Highway, and a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church.
