Pvt Williams was the son of Michael C. Williams and Mollie O’Brien. He enlisted on 31 August 1917 at Elizabethton, Tennessee. He was discharged at Fort Oglethorpe in Georgia on 15 April 1919 due to far advanced tuberculosis. He died of the disease 25 March 1921.
Pvt Williams is buried at Highland Cemetery, Elizabethton, Carter County, TN.
