Killed in Belgium, Lt. Oscar Stanley, husband of the former Lena M. England, Oneida, Tenn., who with her mother, is now residing at 1300 44th Place, North, was killed in action Jan. 25 in Belgium. Lt. Stanley enlisted in February, 1940. Going overseas in July, 1942, he received a battlefield commission in November, 1944. He had been decorated with the Silver Star in Tunisia, and a Cluster to the Silver Star in Sicily. He also held the Combat Infantryman Badge and a presidential Unit Citation. He served with the First Army in Belgium.
