Onie Sanford was born 20 April 1898 in Tazewell, Claiborne County, Tennessee, son of Jacob Cansler Sanford and Mary Lou Leonard. Corporal Onie Sanford, was killed in action on the western front of France near Bony, Aisne on October 8, 1918.
He is buried at Campbell Cemetery, Tazewell, Claiborne County, Tennessee.
