Milburn Kile Wattenbarger was born on 3 October 1925, Cleveland, Bradley County, Tennessee, the son of Ernest Cady Wattenbarger and Gertrude Estella Kile. He died in a training accident 29 July 1944 at Moody Field, Valdosta in Georgia. He was accidentally hit by the revolving propeller of a training plane.
