Michael Morrison Allison was the son of Michael Morrison Allison and Sarah Augusta Downing. He was married to LaGeorgia Willson Newell.
2nd Lieutenant Michael M. Allison was assigned to the 928th Field Artillery Battalion 105mm Howitzers, 103rd Infantry Division. At the time of his death the 103rd Division was fighting in France. He was Killed in Action 28 November 1944 and is interred at B,14,44 Epinal American Cemetery, Epinal, France.

Lt. Michael M. Allison was killed in action in Europe. Lt. Allison’s wife, the former miss LaGeorgia Newell, daughter of Dr. And Mrs. E.. Newell, was informed that her husband had been killed in action Nov. 28. Lt. Allison, prominent young Chattanooga attorney, was with the Seventh Army and was a reconnassance officeer in an artillery unit. He landed with the invasion forces that struck southern France in early fall. Eleven days before he was killed a son, Michael Morrison Allison III, was born here in Chattaooga. Dr. Newell, the father-in-law, said last night that Mrs. Allison notifying him that a son had been born, but he feared these messages may nog have reached him before his death.
