Morton Lee Jeanes, young sailor, has been reported missing in action. The youth is the nephew of Mrs. Newton Jones, Sr. of this city and made his home here before moving to Chattanooga, Tenn. Morton attended Anniston High School while living here with his aunt. He also worked as an Anniston Star carrier. He graduated from Chattanooga Vocational High School with honors in 1941 and immediately joined the Navy. Morton’s father is A.E. Jeanes of Knoxville, Tenn.
