Luther Ward was born 20 October 1893, Jacksboro, Tennessee to Moses and Sarah Ward. He entered the service at Jacksboro, TN on February 25, 1918 and trained at Camp Greenleaf, Detention Co., Military Branch, Chattanooga TN. He served with the Medical Corps, Medical Headquarters Company. He became seriously ill and died 14 October 1918 at West Penn. Hospital at Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.
Pvt Ward is buried at Jacksboro City Cemetery, Jacksboro, Campbell County, Tennessee.
