Englewod, Aug. 6 – Lester Mayfield Whaley, fireman third class in the U.S. Navy, formerly of Englewood, Rt. 1, was reported missing in action July 19 by the War Department. Fireman whaley entered teh service about 10 months ago. I’m expecting him to return safely, his wife said.
