Kristopher Daniel Greer
Cpl. Kristopher D. Greer, 25, of Ashland City, Tenn., died Aug. 8 of wounds received Aug. 6 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 4th Combat Engineering Battalion, 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve, based out of Knoxville, Tenn. ‘Daniel’ joined the Ashland City fire department as a volunteer and became a full-time employee two years later. He joined the Pegram Volunteer Fire Department in July 2001 and volunteered there for four years before transferring to Ashland City. He is survived by his Wife, Stacy Bennett Greer of Ashland City, TN; Son, Ethan Douglas Greer of Ashland City, TN; Father, Kris Greer and his Wife, Mary Jo of Russellville, KY; Mother, Gina Foster Breeden of Pegram, TN; Brother, U.S. Army Spc. Dylan Greer and his Fiancée, Jessica Branco of Italy; Sister Mikaela Greer of Pegram, TN; Grandparents, Dickie and Kay Greer of Ashland City, TN, Earl and Jo Lampley Pegram, TN, and Linda Foster of Pegram; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, William “Bill” and Stephanie Bennett of Pleasantview, TN; Sister-in-law, Angie Bennett; Several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. He was preceded in death by Grandfather, Daniel Lee Foster of Nashville, TN.
