Junior Francis Ott was born in Neuberts, Tennessee, the son of John Walker Ott and Goldie Lucille Case. Brother of Alma Louisa Ott, David William Walker Ott, Curtis Ray Ott, Homer E. Ott. He enlisted on February 12, 1943 in Fort Oglethorpe, GA.
Died in Reno, Nevada, in October 14, 1944
Corporal Ott was killed in the crash of B-24D Liberator #42-40166, five miles northeast of Tonopah Army Airfield, Nevada. Four officers and four enlisted men died in the cash.

Junior is buried at the Old Cedar Grove Cemetery in Blount County, TN.
He was raised by a strong loving family. Mammaw Goldie, his mother, was a beautiful God fearing woman ..my Pappas, his brother Homer, loved Junior and always told us about his brother ..if I’m remembering right it was Junior that people would come from miles around to hear him play banjo.
