Julian Evans was the son of Julen Jerome Evans and Bessie Lindsay.
Corporal Julian L. Evans of Burrville, TN, was killed in action in Germany while serving with the Corps of Engineers. He was returned to the United States on December 1, 1947, and was laid to rest at the U.S. National Cemetery in Knoxville, B, 6772.
Corporal Evans was initially buried at the American War Cemetery Henri-Chapelle in Belgium.

Cpl. Julian L. Evans of Burrville, Tenn., died in battle in Germany, Dec. 3, 1944. Survived by sisters, Mrs. Ernest Brown, Mrs. Denfort Crouch, Misses Lula, Gertrude and Thelma Evans; two brothers, Fred and Vance Evans. Private service with military honors were held at National Cemetery.
