Joyce Winkler was born 29 August 1899 in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, son of Edmond J. Winkler and Dellia Garland. Joyce Winkler was admitted at the hospital at Chattanooga on 10 October 1918 and died on 30 October of pneumonia. He is buried at Tasso United Methodist Cemetery, Bradley County, Tennessee.
