John Edward Fine was born 8 November 1921 in Knoxville, Tennessee, the son of William Roy Fine and Madge Edith Hartsell. Siblings: William Fine, Anett Fine, Mary Fine, Jae Fine, and Lenis Fine. He attended Knoxville High School and enlisted on Febuary 13, 1943 in Fort Oglethorpe, GA
He died in Germany.
He was repatriated back to the United States after the war, and funeral services were held at Berry Funeral Home Chapel on July 14, 1949.
He was buried following the service at Lynnhurst Cemetery, Knoxville.
