John Dallas Hicks was born 24 September 1894, Hamilton County, Tennessee, son of James Russell Hicks and Etta Lela King. He was inducted at Chattanooga, Tenn. on 27 May 1918. Pvt Hicks died of pneumonia on 4 October 1918.
