Pvt. Joe Lee Brown, 35, of Chattanooga, died Saturday at Fort Meade, Md., relatives here were notified. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emma Brown; daughter, Margaret Josephine Brown; four brothers, Sgt. Clinton E., Stationed in the South Pacific; Cpl. Edwin E., stationed in Italy, and Sgt. Ralph Brown, Orlando, Fla.; five sisters, Miss Jewell Brown, Mrs. Evelyn Durham, Mrs. Ruth Cannon, Mrs.. Nell Stuart and Miss Marguerite Brown, all of Chattanooga.
He was for several years a member of the St. Mark’s Methodist Church.
