Pvt. Jewel Parks was killed in action in Italy. A native of Rockwood, Tenn., he was married to Lillie Marle Williams of Denton, June 17, 1943 while he was stationed with the Army at Camp Howze. He entered the service in September, 1942 and served with the 84th Division until he was killed in action.
