Jessie Emmitt Bean was born in Alabama, the son of Joseph “Joe” Henry Bean and Essie Bingham. He married Etna Belle Deering in april 1942.
He died 17 October 1943, while in service at Camp Forrest, Tennessee
Wife died on the same date and is buried in the same plot.

Soldier, Wife Burn to Death
Chattanooga – Bodies of a Chattanooga soldier and his wife, fatally burned in a tourist cabin fire at Tullahoma, were being brought here Monday night for burial. The victims were Sgt James E. Bean, stationed at Camp Forrest, and his wife, Mrs. Etna Deering Bean, who was visiting him over the weekend.
