James Oscar Huff was born 24 May 1893, Euchee, Tennessee. He was married to Edith May Huff.
Sergeant Huff was assigned to the 323rd Infantry Regiment, 81st Division. He was killed in a railroad accident on 17 September 1918 at the age of 24, and is interred at D, 33, 17 Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery, Romagne, France.
