Pfc. James O. Hale, 23, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Hale of Spring City Route 2, who was killed in the Aleutian Islands on March 8. Pfc. Hale, who was with an anti-aircraft battalion, entered the service on Sept. 11, 1942. Before going overseas, he was stationed at a Prisoner of War camp at Crossville. He was a member of the Smyrna Baptist church.
