James Lee Howard

Corporal Howard was a member of Company E, 2nd Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea. He was presumed dead on December 31, 1953. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.

Pvt. James L. Howard, son of Mrs. Evelyn Davis and grandson of Mrs. Emma House, 1514 Long Street, has been reported  missing in action in Korea since Nov. 19. He was a student at Howard High School when he entered service.
