Pvt. James G. Parker, 27, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Parker, Jr., who had been in service of his country going on three years and overseas three months was killed in action in Germany February 7, 1945, so his family was notified Tuesday. Pvt. Parker is survived by six sisters, Mrs. Lee Hunter, Mrs. George Kelly, Mrs. Luther Ellis, Mrs. Robert Raulston, Mrs. Pat M. Layne, Sr., and Mrs. John Ellis. Before entering the service, Pvt. Parker assisted his brother-in-law, Lee Hunter, on his farm on Battle Creek.
