James Franklin Leach was born on 5 January 1925 to Joseph Lewis Leach and Lillie Davis.
He entered the service on 8 July 1943 at Fort Oglethorpe in George. He served as a main gun loader, B Company, 36th Tank Battalion, Combat Command B, 8th Armored Division. Pvt Leach was killed near Rheinberg, Germany.
He is buried at family cemetery, Holton, TN
