James Craig Lodor was born on 7 July 1886, Chattanooga, Tennessee. Son of James Craig Lodor and Martha Henderson
Lt Lodor was killed in action on 19 July 1918 at Soissons, France on July 19, 1918. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross. His body was returned to America and buried in Oakdale Cemetery, Wilmington, New Hanover County, North Carolina, his former home. The St. Elmo American Legion Post in Chattanooga is named for him.
