Lance Corporal Jack Lenn Sutton was born on March 30, 1948, and was originally from Crossville, Tennessee. He served his country in the Vietnam War in the United States Marine Corps, as a rifleman in B Company, 1st Battalion, 9th Marines, 3rd Marine Division. On April 24, 1967, LCpl. Sutton was killed under hostile conditions in Quang Tri province, South Vietnam; he was 19 years old at the time of his death. LCpl. Sutton is memorialized on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on Panel 18E, Line 82.
