Jack Green was born on 26 May 1918 in Concord, Tenn. He was the son of Marvel Stone Green and Rebecca Jennifer “Jennie” Galbraith. Brother of Marvel McLin Green. He enlisted on March 8, 1942 at Fort Oglethorpe. Georgia and had been overseas since April, 1943. He was a graduate of Farragut High School, and was employed by the Aluminium Company of America before entering the service.

T/5 was killed in action in Italy on 22 October 1944. He is buried at Concord Masonic Cemetery, Concord, Knox County, Tennessee.
