Full military honors were accorded to Sgt. Eugene Overstreet, late of Clarkrange by the Jamestown VFW Post no. 5017 and the veterans of Clarkrange. He was buried Saturday, February 21st at the Clarkrange Cemetery.
Sgt. Overstreet was killed July 24, 1944 while fighting for his country in the invasion of France. His body was returned from Europe by request of his parents under military escort of T/Sgt Robert A. McCallister.
