Howard Eugene Little was born on 30 April 1922, the son of Roy Porter Little and Mary Elizabeth Treadway.

Howard E. Little, twenty-one-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Little, was injured in action February 2, 1944, in the Kwajalien Atoll of the Marshall Islands. He died February 4. Roy Little is an Ausiliary Policeman. Pfc. Little is a brother of Austin Little and Jack Little. He also had five sisters, Mrs. Duke Arney, Ruth, Kathryn, Geraldine and Shirley.
