First Lt. Horace F. St. Johns, husband of the former Miss Corrine Doche, Claridge Apartments, Georgia Avenue, was serving his third tour of army duty. Lt. St. Johns, former chief clerk of Hamilton County Selective Service Board 1, was killed in action in Germany, March 10, the War Department notified his wife. A graduate of Chattanooga High School in 1935, he volunteered for army duty in August, 1942. The son-in-law of Mrs. F.E. Doche, Georgia Avenue, he is survived by his wife; his father, who resides in Woodbury, Tenn.; two sisters, Mrs. Hubert Howard and Mrs. H.M. Heninger, and five brothers.
